We love energy. We need energy. Energy drives us - and it’s been our passion since 1998, when a small, fearless team in the Netherlands set out to create a different kind of meeting place for the sector. What started as a local gathering has grown into Enlit: a community that connects people, projects, and technologies across Europe and beyond.
At Enlit, we believe that siloed thinking won’t deliver the transition. A holistic, systemic approach is needed - and that is why Enlit exists. Our mission is all about humanising the energy transition. As we uncover the sector’s best-kept secrets and its 'next big things', we share the stories of the people behind them, translating complex issues into something everyone can engage with, and making sure no voice is left out.
Through Enlit World, we bring the transition to life every day with articles, podcasts, videos, and fresh insights from across the energy value chain. And once a year, Enlit Europe gathers more than 15,000 professionals under one roof - a flagship summit and expo where ideas are shared, partnerships form, and the future of energy is shaped.

We cover the energy transition independently
A team of experienced journalists delivers daily news coverage of the entire energy sector value chain. We do this via exclusive, in-depth articles, podcasts and videos, and with an inclusive, technology-agnostic approach. We deliver editorial excellence every time across multi-media platforms, always underpinned by the strongest values of journalistic integrity and independence.
We travel to see energy transition in action
We don’t just sit in our office. We hit the road to meet the key industry players who are at the forefront of this transition in a particular region, tell their stories, and share their insights with the Enlit community. On these journeys, we highlight people and projects that are united in their energy transition drive, yet unique in their approach.
We spotlight EU-funded energy projects
Working with the European Commission, Enlit supports the communication and dissemination of Europe’s energy projects since 2017 – big and small – across borders and across sectors. The EU Projects Zone helps EU-funded projects showcase their findings on Enlit World, as well as at the Enlit Europe event.
We help companies tell their stories
Content marketing is a must-have for successful brand campaigns. But you may not have the expertise in-house. From concept to creation and campaign – let us help you tell your story. We organise events
And yes, you may know us from our annual Enlit Europe event. Through this flagship event, we aim to connect industries, inspire action and help Europe evolve its energy transition. More than 15,000 global energy sector professionals are joining us on this mission, and we hope you will do so too. If you can’t make it, don’t worry: we also organise smaller, sector-specific events, European Industrial Energy Days and ETCSEE.
